Macbeth by William Shakespeare

“Stars, hide your fires!

Let not light see my black and deep desires.”

How long can you hold out against nature? Human nature, mother nature, the supernatural - all forces that intertwine and manifest an inevitable destiny. This production Interpreted the witches as nymph-like vessels and custodians of the non-human, natural world, and placed the human action in an austere, angular and concrete world, putting them at odds with each other and testing the limits of humanities ability to fight against nature.

Our production of Shakespeare’s timeless tragedy puts the machinations of nature on an epic scale, bringing together a cast, crew and band of over 50 people total and executing an ambitious vision weaving a complex tapestry of elements into a singular dramaturgical feat.

Featuring an original score performed by a live band and exciting projected AV elements, the show celebrated all that theatre can be following a year of extreme lockdowns.
