Leadership — Sydney University Dramatic Society
Between 2017 and 2019 I served on the executive of the Sydney University Dramatic Society, first as Cellar Officer (technical manager) and then as President — the executive head of a 12-person team across 9 portfolios, supporting roughly 30 shows a year.
As President I chaired weekly general and executive meetings, launched a new website (sudsusyd.org), solidified the society's relationship with the Sydney Theatre Company, organised free member workshops with professional artists, passed a constitutional amendment formalising an executive position and streamlined the society's financial systems. As Cellar Officer I facilitated the technical needs of most of the year's shows — bump ins and outs, design collaboration, troubleshooting, show operation and WHS oversight.
In 2019 I also helped facilitate MOIST (A Mishap-Ridden Organisation of Improvised Stagecraft & Theatre) — our attempt at the record for the longest continuous improvised theatre piece: over 70 performers improvising for more than 168 hours straight (7 days), raising over $1500 for cancer hospital Chris O'Brien Lifehouse.
